John Kenneth Sykes Jr. was born in Boston, Massachusetts, to Ellen Pearce and John Kenneth Sykes on 08/31/1964. He attended school at Dexter in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and later graduated from North Adams State College.
John married Nicole Bryan on 12/16/2014 in Westmoreland, Jamaica. He worked as a school teacher at Lloyd Estate Elementary School for 10 years, dedicating his career to education and the development of young minds.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Ellen Pearce and John Kenneth Sykes Sr.
He is survived by his spouse, Nicole Sykes; his sisters, Penny Sykes and Heather Barron; and his brother-in-law, Brad Barron.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM on January 28, 2026, at Fred Hunter’s Funeral Services.
Funeral services will take place from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM on January 28, 2026, at Fred Hunter’s Funeral Service, officiated by Devon Brown.
