

He was born in Miami, Florida and attended the University of Miami Pre-Med program where he graduated Suma Cum Laude and went on to complete his degree there as an Orthopaedic Surgeon where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. At the University he was a member of the Iron Arrow Society, which is the highest honor which can be bestowed by the University of Miami. He wrote numerous articles on bone fractures for publication.
Upon graduation, he met his wife Deborah to whom he was married to for 39 years. Together they had a daughter and a son, Jennifer and John-Carl.
As a Board Certified orthopaedic surgeon, he was Chief of Staff at Doctor's Hospital of Hollywood, he served as a bank board member, as well as a member of various medical associations. He was well known and liked for his compassion, strength, and was highly respected in both his field and family life. A brilliant and yet humble man who was loved by all.
He is survived by his loving wife Deborah, daughter Jennifer, and son John-Carl.
Visitation will be held at Fred Hunter's Funeral Home at 6301 Taft Street Hollywood, Florida on Sunday October 7th from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. Funeral Mass to be held at Little Flower Church at 1805 Pierce Street Hollywood, Florida Monday October 8th at 11:00am.
In lieu of flowers, donations would also be appreciated to the American Heart Association.
