

Joseph "Joe" DeBellas, a loving father, husband, brother, grandfather and great grandfather passed away at the age of 84 on Saturday, February 6th 2021. Joe was born in San Diego, California and raised in Miami, Florida. Resided with his late mother Catherine O'Brien and his sister Kathleen Ireland. Joe had a passion for cars and was a genius mechanic, and an incredibly talented race car driver. His passion fell upon the Chevy Corvette which led him to open Corvette Center with his friend Hank Vanderlely. Following that venture, Joe and Hank decided to open Offshore Marine the home of the first triple engine installation in the late 1970's. Together they flourished in the boating industry, as well as cars. Joe was an amazing man, who loved deeply and gave generously to everyone who knew him. He was preceded in death by his mother Catherine O'Brien, Uncle Freddy Fisikelli and his wife Sarah Fisikelli; His late wife, Rosemary Fanelli, who worked hand in hand throughout these years essentially becoming his blessed guardian angel. Also preceded in death by his first wife, Marti Stroub who gave him his two wonderful daughters Kristi DeBellas and Julie Marshall. They both gave him loving grandchildren Alicia M. Crosbie, Ryan J. Marshall, Blake R. Marshall; and, two great grandchildren Landon J. Crosbie, and Brooke L. Marshall, who love him dearly, and will miss him. He will also be missed greatly by his cousins from the McKay and Fisikelli families. Survived by yet another constant blessing in Joe's life was LyLy Dorsey whom for 15 years was his executive assistant, friend, and confidant. His family and friends will miss him and do their best to live up to the values he set before them.The visitation will be held from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm, and the Memorial Service will be held from 1:30pm to 2:30 Saturday Feb.20, 2021 at Fred Hunters Downtown Fort Lauderdale.
