Although i did not know Joe personally we knew each other from the Sinatra Forum a fine NYPD officer along side many of my NYPD friends and relatives, All of his family have my deepest condolences we lost a very good man and friend.I myself retired to Boynton Beach Fl seventeen years agoit's the land of Paradise. Joe will always be remembered as the nice guy, RIP my friend.

Number one Sinatra fan. Joe love the music of Sinatra. I would send him rare Sinatra recordings and concerts and radio shows. I spoke to him once about Sinatra and New York and Italian life. He would honor my dad by sending a fruit basket to us every holiday season. I was deeply saddened when I got an email today informing of his passing. I had just sent him a rare Sinatra concert and his last email was that he enjoyed it. Joe chilled out by listening to Sinatra. It made him happy. God bless Joe.

I am terribly saddened and shocked to hear that Joe passed away. My heart goes out to Joe's family and all of his friends. All of you have my deepest condolences and comfort. I met Joe years ago when I was a member of Nancy Sinatra's "family forum" for her father Frank Sinatra. I quickly became very good friends with Joe, and we enjoyed sharing comments about Frank. Joe was passionate about Frank, and it was such a pleasure to get to know Joe well and have him as a very dear friend. Each year at Christmas, we would exchange cards and bring each other up-to-date about ourselves and also the latest in Frank Sinatra recordings. Again, I'm so sad that my dear friend Joe has passed away.

I'm so grateful I got to visit with Joe last September. We moved to NC 6 years ago, but used to live in the same courtyard in Plantation. Joe used to sit outside and watch his cats explore the neighborhood, but they would always come back because they knew where their home was. Joe loved his cats immensely and is now reunited with Smokey and Kato, and will see his beloved Lucy Lou again some day. My husband and I would go to mass with Joe at St. Gregory's every once in a while. Joe was a good friend, an honorable man. You've earned your spot in heaven Joe. RIP my friend.

We lost one of the good guys when we lost Joe. He was a good friend to me while I lived in Florida. It was always nice to touch base with him when I moved to North Carolina..

I was lucky enough to call him "Dad" even though he wasn't my biological father. He treated me truly as a own and my kids as though they were his grandkids and I am forever blessed to have loved him and be loved by him. I've put off writing in this for a bit because I simply haven't been ready to tap into those emotions yet. Have to keep some in check for now still. I will miss my annual Frank SInatra calendar. Singing me the song "Bianca" that he had a bootleg recording of. His laughter, his smile and his wonderful stories. I love you Dad. Please tell the rest of the family hello and that to keep looking out for us. You were always an angel on earth so now you can be surrounded by others that have a beautiful soul such as yours. I promise to always keep Gianna grounded in our faith as promised when becoming her Godmother. Please always keep her safe and allow her to feel you in her heart forever. See you on the other side....

I had the pleasure of working with Joe and he was a great person. RIP Brother.

I remember meeting Joe as a young man when he married my cousin Joanne and thought " handsome guy ". They had two wonderful sons,Joseph and Justin. I know how they loved their Dad. He left them too soon!And they will miss him always! Rest in peace Joe!

I am Joseph Anthony Volpe & JoAnne Volpe's Second Born Child Justin Volpe and younger Brother of Joseph Antrhony Volpe Jr. I can never explain how proud i was of My Father Joseph . I can never explain how i was always so proud that My Father was a New York City Police Officer .He and my mother moved me and my Brother Joseph Jr. from The Bronx , NY to a wonderful little Suburb in Westchester County , NY . It was a small House on the top of a hill that i had the privilege to grow up in a Neighborhood everyone would have loved to grow up in like me and my Brother did . I have so many great memories of our family living in Valhalla , NY . My Brother Joseph and I , His Blood Children will Love our Father Joseph Anthony Volpe Forever and will miss him dearly !!!

I had the pleasure of sharing our wonderful family oriented neighborhood in the Bronx, N.Y. since we were chilldren.. It was a place where"Everyone knew your name".It was a very proud time for myself and his sons when we attended his graduation into New York's Finest. His sons always had a great love for him and enormous respect for him. They will always love and miss him. I will always be very grateful that in the last few months of his life he had been by my side through the horrendous illness that I am going though. He was a great support for me and his sons throughout this very difficult time.He earned his place in heaven. He will be thought about, prayed for,missed and respected all the days of our lives. Joseph Anthony Volpe:My Uncle Joey was a special man. A former Officer of New York's Finest: the NYPD for 20 years serving in the harshest of boroughs, The Bronx. In retirement, he continued serving the State of Florida as a Court Officer and volunteer fire fighter. Uncle Joey was an avid reader, self-taught historian and supporter of freedom and conservatism. He was a proud American Italian and understood the importance of ancestral family ties which laid a path for him and those he loved.I will miss his sensibility, his joyful laugh and profound love for family.Uncle Joey is survived by his beloved children; Joseph Volpe Jr., Justin Volpe ,Joshua Volpe and Waverly Marie and Damien. All of whom he loved deeply and spoke of with tremendous pride and joy.He is also survived by his loving and devoted sisters Rosemarie Di Marco and Rita Shankoff who loved him dearly.
