

Juan Ramon was born March 22, 1937 to Juana Ponce & Carlos Vega in Isabella, PR. He married Luz Ines in December 1968 in the state of New York. Devoted to his craft, he found solace and joy beneath hoods and amidst tools, immersing himself in the artistry of mechanics. He spent 20 years working for Sal-Son Trucking LLC. Doing what he loved best as a truck driver. He was recognized as the Treasurer for Iglesia Pentecostal De Jesucristo MI, INC. located in Las Marias, PR during his earlier years for 20 years. He will be remembered for his love of singing for his church as part of the chorus, and his friendly calling of “Oye!” and “Si Juan!” He was recognized for his ranch which included planting and harvesting plantains, coffee, and avocados amongst other items.
Juan Ramon is preceded in death by late wife Luz Ines, stepson Frankie, stepdaughter Luz Ester, great-granddaughter Moriah F. Morel, and brother Pedro Vargas.
Juan Ramon is survived by daughter Maria E. Vega Canals married to Ruben Arroyo, daughter Carmen D. Vega Canals, daughter Joanne E. Robles married to Manuel E. Robles, son Ramon J. Vega, stepson Salvador Lopez, sister Gloria Acevedo, sister Maria Mendez, granddaughters Carina L. Morel, grandsons Carlos R. Arroyo, Agustin P. Morel, Marino A. Morel, Anthony Morel, Enrique Coreano Jr., Xavier R. Vega, great-granddaughters Andrea J. Arroyo Gomez, Maryann E. Morel, Aniah A. Morel, Aliyah A. Morel, Carmen E. R. Morel, Mercedes I. Casanova, Vivianna D. Morel, Dalida Q. Canales, Ileanne J. Garcia, Bailey Canales, Isabella Canales, Milany Coreano, great-grandsons Axel A. Arroyo Gomez, Cameron J. Morel, Aiden D. Morel, Marino A.
