Ken was born in New York, New York to Oscar and Anne Rubenstein on July 17, 1949. He went to school in Long Island City, NY. He married Terry Lather on November 15, 2009, in Lighthouse Point, FL. He graduated from William Cullen Bryant, NY. He worked as a long-distance truck driver for Armellini Trucking and various other companies for over 40 years. He was also a Point Pleasant, NJ firefighter for 12 years. He was awarded Firefighter of the Year in 2001, aiding in recovery efforts for months following the September 11, 2001 bombing. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and served as an Aviation Ordinance Technician in the Navy.
Ken is preceded in death by his father Oscar Rubenstein, his mother Anne Rubenstein, and his brother Harvey Rubenstein.
Ken is survived by his loving wife Terry Rubenstein, his children Kipp/Michele Rubenstein, Kriss/Jamie Rubenstein, and Jared Zieris, and his grandchildren Sydnee, Tyler, and Rylee.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at 9:30 AM on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, FL. Arrangements are by Fred Hunter's Funeral Home.
