“King Kong – A Life of Love, Light, and Law”
Lenworth Arthur White was born in St. Mary, Jamaica, and was raised in Buff Bay, Portland. He passed away on April 1, 2026, in Hollywood, Florida, due to natural causes following heart complications diagnosed five months earlier.
He was the beloved son of Violet White and the late Arthur White, and the devoted partner of Kaylia Jarrett. He was a proud and loving father to his son, Jaleel White.
Lenworth received his early education at Buff Bay Primary School and later attended Titchfield High School. He dedicated 18 years of service as a Security Officer at Park Place HOA and also worked as a merchandiser with GraceKennedy Co. Ltd.
Throughout his life, Lenworth remained deeply rooted in faith and community. He was an active member of Gideon Gospel Chapel and participated in Youth Fellowship. In Buff Bay, he was also involved in Youth for Christ, where he gave his time to ministry through youth camps, door-to-door evangelism, drama, and creative one-man skits that touched many lives. He didn’t just speak about faith—he lived it.
Affectionately known as “King Kong,” Lenworth carried a presence that was both strong and compassionate. His name, L.A.W., reflected the man he was—a man of principle, guided by a higher calling. Though he would sometimes say he was “the law,” it was never out of pride, but purpose. He stood firm, protected those he loved, and gave of himself wholeheartedly.
He was a guardian of hearts—loyal, dependable, and deeply caring. He made sure those around him felt safe and never alone. His love was steady and sincere, and while he loved deeply, he also carried the weight of that love with quiet strength.
Lenworth had a passion for reading, often finishing multiple books in a single week. It was through a book that he experienced a life-changing encounter with the Word of God—an encounter that transformed his life and strengthened his faith.
He also had a deep love for birds and was an avid collector, with a special fondness for his beloved parrot, Rio. As his son Jaleel fondly shared, “he loved them birds.”
Above all, Lenworth was a family man. Loyal, trustworthy, and ever-present, he was someone you could always depend on. Even when distance separated him from loved ones, the bond remained unbroken.
He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur White, and his sister, Heather White.
He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Violet White; his son, Jaleel White; his siblings, Bruce, Audrey, Jennifer, Michael, Gary, Judith, Jacqueline, Sandra, Courtney, and Megan; his partner, Kaylia Jarrett; his lifelong best friend, Joel; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
We give thanks for the gift of his life—a life that was not lived by accident, but by divine design. And we hold onto the comforting belief that in his final moments, he spoke once more with his God—the One he knew so well.
Rest well, King Kong. Your life still speaks.
