on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, surrounded by her loving friends and family after
a long battle with cancer.
Leslie was born in New York to Mary Roberta Frame on July 13, 1967. She grew
up in Oakland Park where you could usually find her running the track or at the
ball fields. She attended Appalachian State University and studied Elementary
Education. She faithfully served her students and families as a teacher for 34
years, teaching at Indian Trail Elementary, Rickards Middle School, and the last
21 years at Christ Church School.
Her life was full of love for her family, daughters, friends, church, and school. Mrs.
Sallade was invested in her students and their families, finding joy in watching
them grow. Leslie was a safe place, a listening ear, and walked with courage
each day. Her confidence, strength, honesty, humility, and immense compassion
were gifts to all who knew her.
She held many roles in her community as a school board member, youth group
counselor, Wesley Group leader, softball coach, and soccer coach, consistently
investing in the lives of the next generation. She was a faithful servant to the Lord
until she was called home.
Leslie is preceded in death by her mom, Mary Roberta Frame. Leslie is survived
by her husband, Carl Patrick Sallade; and daughters, Alexandra Anne Pagliaro
and Camryn Drew Pagliaro; and stepson, William Chase Sallade.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, February 3,
2024 at Christ Church Fort Lauderdale with a reception to follow. Wear bright
colors as Leslie’s favorite was Lilly Pulitzer. Arrangements are by Fred Hunter’s
Funeral Home.
The family of Leslie wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the nurses and
doctors at Holy Cross Hospital, Catholic Hospice, Hollywood Memorial, and the
Christ Church School Community.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Girls on the Run and Christ
Church School.
