Linda McCaffrey

Linda McCaffrey, age 57 of Fort Lauderdale / North Hutchinson Island, FL passed away unexpectedly on August 3, 2023, in Weston, Florida. Her family is deeply saddened by her sudden death.  Linda was born in Brooklyn, New York to Margaret and Terence McCaffrey on April 13, 1966. She grew up in the Woodlawn section of the Bronx attending St. Barnabas Elementary and High School. Linda graduated from St. John's University with a degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences.  Upon graduating, Linda worked as a pharmacist for CVS and for New York Presbyterian Westchester Behavioral Health Center in White Plains, New York. Linda relocated to Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 2004. She worked for PetMeds for over ten years.

Linda is preceded in death by her father, Terence McCaffrey and her brother, Francis (Frank) McCaffrey.

Linda is survived by her son, John McCaffrey and mother, Margaret McCaffrey. She is survived by her partner, Brett Browning, who brought much happiness into her life over the past four years. Linda is also survived by many aunts, uncles and numerous cousins in the Riordan and McCaffrey families.  

Upon graduating, Linda worked as a pharmacist for CVS and for New York Presbyterian Westchester Behavioral Health Center in White Plains, New York. Linda relocated to Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 2004. She worked for PetMeds for over ten years.  

Linda was a wonderful and devoted mother and daughter.  She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness and laughter. All that knew her will miss her beyond measure.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM, followed by a memorial service on Thursday, August 17, 2023, at Fred Hunter Funeral Home, Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

In lieu of flowers, we ask you to make a donation to the Brain Aneurysm Foundation in Linda's name.
