Linda McNamara

Linda was born May 29, 1951. to her parents Ernie and Molly (Abraham) Peruski in Parisville, Michigan.

Linda grew up on their family farm with her brother Ronald J. Peruski of Elk Rapids, Michigan, and her sister Charlotte M. Walsh of Ubly, Michigan. She had several nieces, nephews, cousins. and friends. She was preceded in death by her father in 1995.

Linda attended St. Mary's School in Parisville. She was active in the 4H Club. Linda also participated in school sports playing basketball; running track and field; she also was a cheerleader. She graduated from Ubly High School in 1969. Linda then moved to Port Huron, Michigan where she worked as a switchboard operator for Bell Telephone. She also was a waitress in that area of St. Clair County, Michigan.

Linda met husband David (Mac) McNamara, in Port Huron, while he was stationed aboard the Coast Guard Cutter Bramble. They were married in Revere, Massachusetts where their son Kevin, was born. Their Daughter, Elena was born in New York City, NY. Although she missed her family and friends in Michigan, she loved being part of the "Coast Guard Family" as they were stationed along the Atlantic coast. They retired from active duty in 1998, settling in Pembroke Pines, Fl. where Linda was active in supporting her children in school and sports activities.

As her children grew older, Linda began her career in the medical office assistant field. Linda made many friends during her career. Most recently, Linda worked at Southcare Billing Inc. in Pompano Beach, Fl. She enjoyed working there very much, and she was great friends with her co-workers.

Linda loved her family and friends. She always liked to travel back to Michigan as much as possible. She liked to garden and cook; she loved country music; reading romance and adventure novels; and going shopping. Linda was a beautiful and loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, mother in-law and grandmother. We will deeply miss her smile, and her caring nature. We love you Linda, always and forever.
