Loretta A. Pate, 74, formerly of Hollywood, Florida passed away peacefully in her home with her family by her side on June 26, 2021. Loretta was born on June 5, 1947. She was the daughter of James and Delores Handlin. She was predeceased by her parents and her husband, Kenneth B. Pate of 27 years. She is survived by her 4 daughters, Jennifer Thompson (David, Taylor), Shelley Finn (Shawn), Sheri Howard and Kimberly Goymer (Keith) and their father Ellie (Sonny) Howard, her brother Dennis Handlin (Sandy, Meghan, Emma), her half siblings Bonnie Handlin (Soni) & Brian Handlin (Karen, Elizabeth), her step son Chris Pate (Stacy) along with her grandchildren Austin and Ava Weinreb and Bella Pate, as well as a number of other relatives and close friends.
Loretta worked as a medical biller before her retirement and was a loving mother and homemaker. She was a remarkable cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends, especially over the holidays. Friends wishing to honor Loretta are invited to a Celebration of Life on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at Robbins Preserve Lodge 4005 South Hiatus Road Davie, FL 33330 at 2pm. All are welcome. Her ashes will be spread at a later date.
