Lucille A Rowe

Lucille A. (Kacsur) Rowe, age 82, longtime resident of South Florida, died on September 17, 2025.

Lucille (“Lucy”) was born in Bayonne, New Jersey in 1942 to Josephine Reina Biegen (dec.) and Andrew Kacsur (dec.) to a large Italian family. Lucy and her parents eventually settled in Hialeah, Florida.

Lucy met the love of her life, Blake G. Rowe (dec. 2014) while both were attending high school at Hialeah High School. Excited to start their new lives and start their own family together, the two were married in 1959.

Lucy and Blake couldn’t wait to start a family of their own, and their children meant the world to them. To them were born: Blake Rowe, Lisa Rowe Smith, Jana Braun (Robert), Michael Rowe (Diana) and Matthew Rowe (Chrissy). The Rowe family thrived in Miramar, Florida, with Lucy at the helm as the domestic engineer, putting five children through school and supporting them in sports and other activities in the community.

Lucy’s favorite roll in life was being a grandparent. She treasured spending time with her grandkids, always cooking their favorite meals and never failing to attend school and sporting events. Lucy leaves behind grandchildren: Charles Smith, Ryan Smith, Jakob Braun, Cameron Rowe, Michael Rowe, Nolan Braun, Andrew Rowe, Gianna Rowe and Trisha Arnold.

Lucy’s family and friends were a very important part of her life. She maintained close relationships with all of the extended family and stayed close with her aunts, uncles and especially her cousins, she was our family glue. Her friends were a huge part of her life, she maintained friendships that began as far back as grade school. All of Lucy’s friends became family, that’s just the way she was.

Everyone who knew Lucy knew how much she loved cooking, hosting parties, and family gatherings. The holidays were always her favorite time of year, and she would spend hours in the kitchen getting ready for each gathering. We couldn’t have asked for a better mom and will miss her every day. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved her.

Lucy was preceded in death by her brother Paul Jeffrey Biegen (dec.) and is survived by brother James Biegen.

Lucille will be laid to rest in a small graveside ceremony to be held at Fred Hunter’s Hollywood Memorial Gardens and celebration of life thereafter, scheduled for December 13, 2025, what would have been her 83rd birthday.
