On the morning of August 14, 2021, cousin Susan Beaumont had a nurse put a phone to her ear and lovingly said goodbye from all from her extended family and friends… moments later Peggy peacefully left this world.
If there are brunches, happy hours, concerts and jazz clubs, great restaurants and friends to share them all with in heaven, our girl is there. God will likely assign her to His social committee board of directors. Peggy had a vivacious lust for life and a heart too big for her chest. She gave so much of herself. Peggy never complained once about the hand she was so suddenly dealt.
Peggy was an educator in her hometown of Pittsburgh and continued that career in the Miami-Dade school system in Florida. After retirement, she continued as a volunteer in a reading program for children with learning disabilities. Her volunteerism also included being a guide at The Bonnet House, and usher at The Broward Center for the Performing Arts, Parker Playhouse, and The Au Renee Theater. Her love for music and theater made this a perfect match for the many years she volunteered. Peggy donated to many charities such as St, Jude's, the American Heart Association, USO, the RNC, the Arthritis Foundation, several Breast Cancer charities, and many more.
Her circle of friends was wide, active, fun-loving, and truly amazing. The sisters of Pi, Red Hat, and several MeetUp groups. Peggy travelled extensively and loved cruising. She loved celebrating birthdays, and every holiday - Christmas, Easter, St. Patrick's Day, Halloween, Valentines Day, Thanksgiving.… she had a tub or two filled with decorations for inside and outside her home for each one. Peggy LOVED sending cards. She had a special "Blue Box" with index cards for filing her greeting cards for every occasion. Hallmark may likely go under now.
Like her Mother Kitty, Peggy enjoyed beautiful and elegant clothing, and having her hair and nails done regularly. She loved jewelry and was always sporting several bracelets, necklaces and earrings to accent her winks and smiles. She always had a good hug and a kiss for you when meeting and a bodacious "HI! How are yewww???". We are all sad to be missing you Peggy, yet grateful that your pain and struggles have ended and taken your soul to a peaceful step in your next journey.
Peggy is survived by her brother Jack Schwartz, cousins Susan Beaumont, Anne Hosford, Kirk and Carolyn French, and Rick Sabina. Also by her second cousins’ Christine Sabina, Breezy Beaumont, Adelle Chingas, Desire’ Beaumont, Chelsea Sargent, Christina French, Matthew French and Gretchen French. Peggy was predeceased by her loving mother Catherine "Kitty" Schwartz, her father Jack Schwartz, and her cherished dogs Lucky, Rita, and Zsa Zsa.
