Martin Achoy Smith

Martin was born in California, Trinidad and Tobago on the 5th of December 1965, to Melvin and Irma Smith (nee Sinaswee). He lived in Trinidad until he moved to the United States in 2000. Martin and Lisa were married on the 1st of September 2001. Martin worked as a Building Superintendent and supervised several construction projects, including banks, private residences and many popular restaurant franchises in South Florida over the last fifteen years. He loved sports, especially soccer, football, cricket and basketball. Martin brought joy and love to all his family. He was an engaging and caring soul who loved people and was a blessing to all whom he encountered.

Forever loved and missed by his wife Lisa, sisters Marlene and Cheryl, son Aaronn, niece and nephew Asia and Lucas; mother-in-law Carrie Francis, brothers-in-law, Vaughan, Eric, Aldwin Jr. and Michael. Dear nephew to Malcolm, Mel, Kenrick, Theo, Maria, Ivy, Margaret, Philma and Carl and loving cousins Stacie, Allison, Trecia, Dominic, Leisl, Natalee, Abegale, Lindy-Ann, Davin, Paula, Marcia, Susan, Martha, Junior, Andrea, Shianne, and Sanander . He will be fondly remembered by many relatives, co-workers and close friends.

Burial services for Martin will take place on Saturday 5th May 2018 at 11:00am. Visitation and viewing will be held prior to the service on Friday 4th May from 5:00-9:00pm. A Celebration of Martin's life will be held in Trinidad on a date to be announced. A very heartfelt thank you to everyone for your kind prayers and support.
