Matthew James Faulstich

Rev Matthew James Faulstich, 74, of Hollywood, Florida, passed away peacefully on the morning of January 13th at his home.

Rev Matthew James Faulstich was born in Winamac Indiana to Lawrence and Rita Daniel’s Faulstich on March 18th 1951. He married Cheryl Lee Rankin on September 17, 1983 in Kokomo, Indiana. He graduated from St Vincent DePaul with a master’s in Divinity Cum Laude. He worked as the Rector of St John’s Episcopal Church in Hollywood, Florida for 20 years under Bishop Leo Frade. He retired and continued to serve as an assistant priest at St Benedict Plantation, Florida. He also assisted with coverage for the Episcopal Diocese of SouthEast Florida.

Rev Matthew James Faulstich was Preceded in death by his parents Lawrance and Rita Faulstich, 1 sister,1 son and 2 grandchildren.

Rev Matthew James Faulstich is survived by his wife of 42 years Cheryl, Daughters and son JJ( Dennis)Shumaker, Aaron (Jennifer)Cooke LaLonde and Aimee (Brett)Boehmer. Brothers and Sisters Michael (Janet) Faulstich, Ruth (Dan) Hellman, Regina (Thomas) Hudson, Mark(Joyce) Faulstich, Larry(Kay) Faulstich, 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life Gathering will be held at 11:30 on Friday February 6th at St Benedict’s by Bishop Peter Eaton and Father Albert Cutie in Plantation, Florida with Burial to follow in St Benedict’s Memorial Garden. Arrangements are being made by Hunters Funeral Home.
