Michael was born in The Bronx, NY to John and Joan Di Giulio on January 29, 1960. He attended St. Bartholomew School in Yonkers before moving to Danbury, CT in 1968 where he completed his education through the Danbury School system.
He worked as an insulation installer early in his career in Connecticut then relocated to South Florida, got into building maintenance and became a supervisor for a property management group of high end & luxury apartment complexes in Broward County. With the encouragement, help and support of his dear friends Amanda and Craig Michael then started his own business “Maintenance on Wheels” as a handyman of many talents that included finish carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical and a/c maintenance and repair. He did it all. Mike had a special relationship with his customers. They all loved him as he did them and they treated him like family.
Mike loved God, Family and Country. He was a very proud Patriot who believed in our Constitution. He supported equal rights, free speech and especially the Right to Bear Arms as most of you know.
He stayed true to his NY roots and was an avid fan of the New York Giants. And he would also cheer for the Jets when they play their divisional rival the Dolphins; often to the displeasure of a few of his South Florida buddies who he liked to harass in a fun-loving way.
Michael enjoyed riding his Harley, going to rock concerts and spending time with his family and friends. More than anything he loved to make people laugh, he was a big goofball always doing silly things for the purpose of the laugh, he was a born entertainer at heart. Mike had a great sense of humor and a contagious laugh that will always be remembered.
Michael is preceded in death by his son Michael Jr. and mother Joan.
He is survived by his youngest son Andrew, his father John Sr., his brother John and wife Kelly, his sister Rosanne, his granddaughter Ava Marie Di Giulio and Uncle Mike’s nephews and nieces; Johnny, Nick and Devon Di Giulio and Josh and Justin Peifer. He is also survived by his extended Connecticut families whom he loved with all his heart: the Dami’s, Lemke’s, Green’s and the Ridgeway’s in addition to many other Di Giulio and Nugent family members throughout the USA.
Michael loved hard and was completely loyal to those he loved. He had a huge heart and would always be one of the first to step up and help others in need, whenever he was able. He will surely be missed by many and most definitely never forgotten.
