Nick and I, James Quinn, go a LONG way back -- back when Nick played in the Brooklyn Dodgers farm club in our hometown of Greenwood, Mississippi -- the Greenwood Dodgers - Nick played, and I was the Batboy !!! Nick was about 19, perhaps, I was 13 --- 6 years difference in age. We, my wife and I, re-connected with Nick when he lived in the Fort Lauderdale area and we were vacationing -- had dinner together and kept in touch over the years --- Nick was one of our "baseball heroes" --- never forgot any of the Greenwood Dodgers, and Nick WAS and IS always SPECIAL !!! Rest in peace, ole Dodger, and God Bless You !!!!!

After a game when Nick used to take the uniforms to the cleaners, which was up the road from my house, he'd often stop by, coming up the driveway to my open back door, hollering "Kim, you home ?" He'd be dropping off some of the uniform tops that needed new buttons sewn on, or a patch that was falling off, needing a few stitches to fix it up. Getting this additional chance to hear another couple of stories from Nick was always a pleasure. He always had a smile and good words for everyone he came in contact with. He will be missed and fondly remembered by MANY people here on Cape Cod and all the ball players who learned from him during their time in the Cape Cod Baseball League. Rest in Peace Nick.

Our condolences to the family of Nick "the Greek" Siemasz. Our family first met Nick in 2007, our first year hosting for the Hyannis Mets. His fiery wit, his infectious smile, and his numerous baseball stories won our hearts. The players who lived with us over the years all have fond memories from the dugout spending time with "the Greek". Nick touched the lives of so many, and we are grateful to have known him.

I was a neighbor of the coach in Pinebrook Lakes Condo (Fort Myers) for 17 years.. He always had a welcome hello when I saw him.. We talked about baseball frequently. I marveled at his tenacity to rehab after his hip and knee surgeries. He would walk around the parking carports with his walker and go to the gym every morning.. My condolences go out to his family and friends. May he rest in peace in the arms of the Lord.

Please accept my deepest sympathies. May you draw comfort from the hope of being reunited with your precious loved one found at Acts 24:15 which says, "There is going to be a resurrection." Until this future promise is fulfilled may reflecting on it provide you with a measure of comfort and peace during this very difficult time.

Great memories of the Greek, especially remember him driving the bus on road trips with his cowboy hat and boots. Glad I had the chance to come down to Miami a few years ago and spend some time with greek , Doc ,coach Simone and Cheech along with D, Freeds and Weis. Played at miami dade north in 79 & 80.RIP Greek!
