

Noel Chang (Ten Sang, "Teach"), 90, of Pembroke Pines, was called Home and passed peacefully on October 4, 2016 at Hope Hospice in Ft Myers, Florida. Noel was born in Smithville, Clarendon, Jamaica. He was a beloved teacher and headmaster/principal in his early years and a successful furniture business owner, before retiring in the U.S.
Noel was a devout Christian who cherished time with family and friends and developed a passion for traveling the world. He is survived by his loving wife, Eileen and children Noel Jr, Isaac, Judith (Dan), Louise (Jerry), Elizabeth (Michael), his beloved grandson Isaac and his cats Keera and Charlie. He was pre-deceased by brothers William, Clifford, Percy, Cecil, Lloyd (Ten Quee), Dacosta (Ten Yong), Samuel (Ten Lin) and by sisters Mazie, Eda, Merline and Violet. He will be missed by his surviving sister Louise (Dez); brothers Claude (Ten Pow), Winston (Ten Chu), John (Ten Choy), and Ronald (Ten Loy) and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family would like to thank his entire team at Hope Hospice; Kathryn Udell and Phyllis Licis Brooks of Q-Life Palliative Care at Lee Memorial who provided Noel and his family with exceptional care and support during his advanced stages of dementia.
The viewing will be held on Friday, October 14 between 4-8PM at Fred Hunter's Funeral Home at 6301 Taft Street, Hollywood, FL 33024. A service will be held on Saturday, October 15 at 10AM with a brief 9:30AM viewing at Pines Baptist Church at 800 NW 102nd Ave, Pembroke Pines, FL 33026. Interment at Fred Hunter's Hollywood Memorial Gardens North, 3001 N. 72nd Ave, Hollywood, FL 33024. Reception to follow at Pines Baptist Church.
