Norma Jean Askew

Askew, Norma J., age 77, passed away peacefully in Pembroke Pines, FL, on Thursday, September 3, 2009. She was born in Covington, Kentucky to the late John Raymond and Alma Siemer Trimpe. On December 1, 1956, she married Louis Samuel Askew in Covington. The family lived in Cincinnati, Ohio until 1971, when they moved to Virginia. In 1973, the family resettled in Pembroke Pines. Mrs. Askew was a very active member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Pembroke Pines.

Mrs. Askew is survived by her loving husband, Louis; her brother, David R. Trimpe of Covington; her sons: Keith and his wife, Barbara, Ken and his wife, Michelle, Kurt and his wife, Tamera; her daughter, Melanie Herrin and her husband, Larry; her grandchildren Scott and Steven Askew, Caitlyn and Ryan Askew, Jena Askew and Shaun Kelly, Amanda Liebl and her husband, Lance, and Emily Herrin; and one great-grandchild, Colton Liebl. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many wonderful friends also survive her.

Visitation will be held Sunday from 4-8 PM with a Prayer Service at 6:30 PM at Fred Hunters Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, September 7, 2009, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, 8330 Johnson St. in Pembroke Pines.
