His early years shaped him as he lost his mother to illness at the age of eight. So he was raised by his older siblings, which resulted in a close bond between them. He was the seventh of on nine children and very close to his siblings. He was married to Ruby Wells, his love for over fifty years.
Os had an amazing life; he worked in oil the refineries of Aruba in the 1940’s, picked fruits and cut sugar cane as a migrant worker in the US in the 1950’s. He was an avid cricketer, had a good sense of humor and enjoyed life.
He highly valued education and hard work in pursuit of a better life. He left Grenada, to live in England, and then emigrated to New York, before retiring to his home in Davie, Florida, 30 years ago where he passed on February 16th .
He is survived by his brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, children and grandchildren.
