Patricia O. Hastings

Patricia was born in Manchester, Jamaica to Ethel Golding and Fred Kelly on October 24, 1932. She went to school in Guy’s Hill, St. Mary. She married Renell Webber in 1959 at Stoke-on-Trent, England where she attended nursing school at North Staffordshire Royal Infirmary. Following the birth of her first child, Arlene, she moved to Kingston, Jamaica and then Queens, New York where she worked as an administrative assistant for the New York Hotel Association. She met and married Desmond Hastings in nearby New Brunswick, New Jersey and then moved back to Jamaica where she worked as an administrator at the University Hospital of the West Indies where her second child, Miguel was born. Later in life, Patricia moved to Florida to be close to her family.

Patricia is preceded in death by her father, Fred; mother, Ethel; stepmother, Mary; brothers, Earl and Peter; sisters, Edna and May and beloved husband, Desmond.

Patricia is survived by her children, Arlene and Miguel; Sisters, Eleanor and Elizabeth; Grandchildren, Allie and Skyler, and great grandchildren, Cyrus and Liam.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at 11:00am Sunday, April 27th at 6301 Taft Street, Hollywood, FL 33024. Arrangements are by Fred Hunter’s Funeral Home.
