Paul N. "Pauly" Bernat, 73, of Sunrise, Florida passed away July 15, 2016, at his home. He was born June 9, 1943, in Woburn, Mass., the son of Michael W. and Elizabeth (Cotugno) Bernat. Paul served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.
Paul and his family moved from Orr's Island, Maine to south Florida in 1982. He spent many years working in customer service for Boat Owner's Warehouse in Ft. Lauderdale.
Paul is survived by his wife of 52 years, Susan; sons, Robert, Rick (wife, Lisa) and Rusty; grandchildren, Logan, Emily and Jillian; brothers, John (wife, Corrine) and Phillip (wife, Susan); sister, Lillian (husband, Pete); sister-in-law, Sharon Yamin; many nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. with a service celebrating Paul's life at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, July 21, 2016, at Fred Hunter's University Drive Home; 2401 South University Drive; Davie, FL 33324.
