Paul Gerald Miller died suddenly at home in Pompano Beach, Florida on February 6, 2016 at the age of 81. A lifelong Christian, Paul is survived by his wife Carroll Sue Miller (Collins), son Paul Edward Miller and his wife Sonya Smith of Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania, daughters Sheila Marie Parsons and her husband Theodore Parsons Jr. of Sterling, Connecticut, Diana Lynn Saadoun and her husband Herve Saadoun of Nokesville, Virginia, and Stephanie Joan Miller of Coral Springs, Florida, as well as nine grandchildren and one great grandchild. He is also survived by his sister, Joan Miller Buchanan and her husband Charles Buchanan of Weirton, West Virginia.
Paul was born on June 4, 1934 in Thomas West Virginia. He was predeceased by his parents Paul Stanley Miller and Lulu Williams Miller. As a young man, he earned the Eagle Scout designation. He served in the Navy during the Korean War, where he was awarded the American Spirit Honor Medal. After his retirement from the Navy, he worked in property management and real estate until he permanently retired in 2001.
No public service will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
