

Paul graduated with honors from Rockport High School in 1936, where he served as Senior Class Secretary. His high school yearbook, for which he served as art editor, notes that his nickname was "Tink" and his favorite song was "Pagan Love Song." He studied Social Arts and his activities included Song, Drama Club, French Club, Track Captain and other sports. His Ambition was "To get somewhere on time," and his Chief Characteristic was "Patent leather hair."
Paul T. Reddy, Jr. enlisted in the Army of United States on December, 16, 1941 and served for the duration of WWII as an Automatic Weapons NCO of the Battery D 431st Antiaircraft Artillery Battalion, under Gen. George S. Patton, where he attained the rank of Sergeant. Campaigns included Algerian French Morocco, Tunisia, Sicily, Corsica Southern France and Rhineland. He fought in the "Battle of the Bulge." In his personal war diary, Paul notes, "Started year off by knocking down [Messerschmitt] ME 210 with direct hit by 40MM (0900 Hrs. - Low Alt.), Jan. 1, 1945, Soulz, Alsace." He was Honorably Discharged on June 25, 1945.
Mr. Reddy settled in Ft. Lauderdale, FL after the war where he worked as a boat letterer in local marinas. He also worked in the Geni Lee Bar & Grill where he met the widowed Marie M. (Smith) Tilley (USNR), whom he married on November 25, 1985. A sports fan, he is remembered by his nieces, nephews and other family members for his quick wit, knowledge of current affairs, loyalty and love of life. He was a member of the Moose Lodge.
Mr. Reddy was preceded in death by his father, Paul Reddy (who worked as a dancing teacher), his mother, Ethel (Orr) Anderson, his younger brothers Robert Clark Reddy (USN) and Allen Frank Reddy (U.S. Army - Purple Heart) and his beloved wife, Marie. He is survived by Marie's sister, Hazel "Babe" Tyson and Marie and Paul's numerous nieces and nephews who shared great affection for their aunt and uncle.
Cremation was performed by Fred Hunter's in Hollywood, FL. A Mass Intention for the repose of the Soul of Paul Reddy was part of Sunday Mass at St. Jude Chapel, at Schott Communities, on Aug. 14, 2016, Fr. Jimmy Acevedo - Celebrant. A small family gathering will be held in remembrance of "Uncle Paul."
