Peggy was born in Birmingham, Alabama on November 29, 1940 to the late Edward and Catherine Johnson and was the baby girl of 15 brothers and sisters. She is a graduate of Parker High School in Birmingham, AL.
In the early 1960’s Peggy met the love of her life and went on to marry Lindsey Johnson on February 18, 1963 in Birmingham, AL. They went on to have two daughters, Pamela, and Angela. Through Lindsey’s military career, they lived as a family in a variety of places throughout the United States and in Germany before finally settling in Pembroke Pines, FL in 2001.
When Peggy had her first child, she decided to dedicate her life to motherhood, and she excelled at it. She was the foundation of our family, through and through. She always knew the right thing to say, never missed a special date, she was our constant cheerleader and supporter.
She worked as an Administrative Assistant for more than 20 years for the United States Department of Defense in Kaiserslautern, Germany. Peggy’s family was her life. She was immensely proud of her family, and leaves behind beautiful memories of that love expressed in countless ways.
Peggy is preceded in death by her parents and nine beloved brothers and sisters. She is survived by her husband, Lindsey Johnson and daughters, Pamela and Angela Johnson.
