bigger than life personality has left an indelible mark. He lived life with a passion
and exuberance that was contagious, making everyone around him feel uplifted
and important. Pete cared deeply and loved loudly. He lived for the moment and
embraced each day with enthusiasm.

his devoted wife of 25 years, Betsy, two cherished daughters, Ragan and Jillian,
brother Jack (Debbie), nephews Curt and Jay and many cousins, nieces, and
countless friends.
Pete was born in 1960 and raised in Kirkwood, MO, a suburb of St. Louis. He
grew up exploring Sugar Creek and woods near his childhood home, a passion
he continued into adulthood. With his brother and best friend, Jack, together they
built forts, and created an extensive motorcycle path. Pete was a natural athlete,
playing football, hockey, soccer, and baseball. He graduated from Southwestern
Missouri State in 1983 with a degree in Business and a minor in Art. Pete was a
member of Kappa Alpha Fraternity with Jack, and stayed in touch with many
fraternity brothers throughout the years.
Life changed in 1997 when Pete met Elizabeth “Betsy” Boersma playing roller
hockey down A1A in Fort Lauderdale. At their first encounter, he carved her
phone number on his hockey stick and the rest is history. Together they had two
beautiful daughters, Ragan and Jillian. Family was the center of Pete’s life. Pete
loved being involved in all aspects of his daughter’s lives, especially Indian
Princess campouts.
Pete got his start in the printing business in 1983 working for Imprimatur Design
and Printing in St. Louis. He then moved to Fort Lauderdale in 1985 working for
Best Magazine, Graf-Tec, Brown Printing, and Ravenna Design. In 1997, he
ventured out on his own, starting Jacaty and Associates. Pete’s unique ability to
bring creative talent together, along with his eye for detail and color made him
exceptional at his craft. His magnetic personality fostered numerous long term
client relationships. Over the years, Pete won over 25 awards acknowledging his
excellence in printing. These included National Addy awards for
Advertising/Design Excellence, Benny, Badger, and Gold Ink awards.
The Jacaty home was an artistic expression of who he was. Pete was passionate
about art and design, adorning the house and yard with his many treasures. He
spent his time restoring antique cars and using his creative talents to make
drawings, sculptures and pottery.
Pete loved attending professional sporting events, including the Miami Dolphins,
Florida Panthers and especially the St. Louis Cardinals. He was an active
