Phyllis Jeanette Cook, 83, of Lighthouse Point, FL, passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at Manor Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born September 18, 1932 in Marion, NY to Leon Arthur and Catherine (Derks) Johnson. Phyllis move to South Florida in 1973 coming from Williamson, NY and attended Grace Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Bernard Kenneth Cook; children, Reginald Bruce (Melanie) Cook of Deerfield Beach, Thomas Bryon Cook of Louisville, KY and Douglas Craig Cook of St. Louis, MO, Lori Ann (Steve) Weber of Coral Springs and Timothy Scott Cook of St. Petersburg, FL; sister, Lois Guy of Webster, NY, 12 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Wallace and Roger Johnson and grandson Eric.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 20, 2016 from 1:00-2:00 pm at Grace Baptist Church, 501 NE 48th St., Pompano Beach 33064 with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm. Burial will take place at a later date at Lakeview Cemetery in Pultneyville, NY.
