

Ramonita (Cruz) Dominguez, 85, of Pembroke Pines, FL, formerly of New York, NY passed away peacefully at 12:47 AM, Wednesday June 6, 2018 at the Vitas Inpatient Hospice Unit in Sunrise, FL. She was born October 29, 1932 in Lajas, Puerto Rico, to Juanita Cruz Gaya and Antonio Irizarry Seda.
Ramonita's smile brought joy to all those who knew her, whether it was her great grand-children or physical therapist. She was known for clever and witty sense of humor and was always willing to crack a joke and laugh with you. She loved to sing and watch her family dance. A true matriarch, she was the glue that bonded her extended family together and the rock that held them all steady. Her faith was strong and she could always be counted on to say a prayer with you and be a comfort in times of need.
She is survived by her devoted husband and caretaker of 67 years, Hilton Dominguez. Also surviving are her four daughters, Lissette (Alan) Levine of Miami, FL, Wanda Dominguez (Jim Wood) of Houston, TX, Cathy (Michael) Miccoli of Jupiter, FL and Leslie Dominguez of New York, NY; Siblings Ada, Juan, Esteban, Edil, Leila, Ania, Dolores, Francisca, and Liana; eight grandchildren, Derrick Attard of Houston, TX, Jessica Alexandrides (Jake Rusconi) of Manchester, CT, Kimberly (John) Williams of Houston, TX, Candice Torres (Andrew Totman) of Charlotte, NC, Joseph (Nikki) Torres of Jupiter, FL, Jaclyn Levine (John Patrikis) of Miami, FL, Sierra Wood of Washington, DC and Christian Wood of Houston, TX; and 4 great-grandchildren, Dru, Justin, Jared and Santino.
The visitation will be from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM on Sunday, June 10, 2018 at the Fred Hunter's Funeral Home in Hollywood, FL.
