Raymond V. "Peaches" Fisher, 88, of Ft. Lauderdale passed away April 22, 2015 at Holy Cross Hospital. Born September 15, 1926 in Monroe Hall, VA to James Garnett and Essie May (Carden) Fisher. He moved to Ft. Lauderdale in 1953. He owned and operated gas service stations and was a mechanic for Ed Morse and a Veteran of the United States Navy. Ray was an amazing man; his wife and family were his life.
Ray was preceded in death by his daughter Melinda Lou Dean and former wife Mary J. Fisher and eight brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife Mary A. Fisher; daughter Elizabeth A. Dean-Brown; grandchildren Donelle Santa Cruz and Raymond Patrick Dean; great grandchildren Sophie, Sarah and Austin and dear friend Kerry.
The family will receive friends at Fred Hunter Funeral Home, 718 S. Federal Highway, Ft. Lauderdale 33316 on Friday, May 1, 2015 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. Entombment on Saturday May 2nd at 11:00 am at Lauderdale Memorial Park Cemetery with a Funeral Service at 12 Noon at First Christian Church, 201 SE 13th St., Ft.
