UN MESSAGE DE LA FAMILLE
Raymond Miller Obituary Raymond Miller, a proud Veteran of the United States Air Force and longtime resident of Plantation, Florida, passed away on December 28, 2024, surrounded by his children. Raymond was born on December 2, 1934 to Juan and Christina Miller in New York City. After graduating from the Manhattan Aviation Academy, he enlisted in the U. S. Air Force where he served our country for more than 20 years with the Tactical Air Command. He worked exclusively on fighter aircraft culminating his career as a Squadron Line Chief. He valued his military career and served throughout the world, including Korea, Turkey, Germany, Thailand and two tours in Vietnam. After serving honorably, he continued serving at the Department of Veterans Affairs and the U.S. Postal Service. Raymond held many titles in his life, dedicated husband, sibling, uncle, grandfather, friend and faithful believer in his Savior Jesus Christ, but his favorite role was being a father. He was always there for them, whether he was giving advice, on the side-lines cheering them on at their various sports activities or helping them move. Through the years, he attended many sporting games, dance and piano recitals, and graduations supporting his grandchildren. And he still managed time to serve at his church for many years. Raymond was preceded in death by his loving wife of nearly 60 years, Judith, his parents and siblings. He is survived by his daughter, Molly Hoepfner and son, Raymond Junior, as well as his son-in-law, Larry and daughter-in-law, July, six grandchildren (Kristen, Lauren, Jade, Rachel, Raymond Alexander, Julia) and two great grandchildren (Kennedy, Frank). Raymond will have a military honors funeral and burial at South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, Florida, where he will reunite with his wife, on January 6, 2025, at 1:30 p.m. "Aim High... Fly-Fight-Win" In Lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution through the link below to help the brave Veterans via Wounded Warrior Project.
