

Robert Glenn Bob Huber, 81, of Plantation, FL, entered Gods kingdom on Monday, October 10, 2011, at Westside Regional Hospital in Florida. Bob was a loving husband, father and friend. While he will be deeply missed, we rejoice in the knowledge that he is full of joy in the presence of his Lord and Savior.
His funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Apostolic Christian Church of Bloomington-Normal, followed by graveside services at Graceland Cemetery in Fairbury, IL.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm on Saturday at the Apostolic Christian Church at 4408 E. Raab Rd, Normal, IL and at 12:30 on Sunday. Visitation and services will also be held at the Apostolic Christian Church, Plantation, FL, on Thursday at 5 and 7 p.m.
Robert was born January 10, 1930, in Fairbury, IL, to William and Caroline Huber. He married, and cherished for over 50 years, Doris Mae Nussbaum on June 24, 1956. She survives in Plantation, FL.
Bob Huber is also survived by his sons Mark (Mary), David (Debbie) and Ryan (Terri) all of Bloomington, IL, and his daughter, Laurie (Terry) Steffen of Alto, Michigan; grandchildren Mandy Jo, Megan, Jaron (Marla), Eric (Martney), Dustin, Allen, Sheryl and Craig Huber, Carrie, Derek and Cameron Steffen; great-grandsons Aiden, Ty and Cohen Huber; brother Reuben and sisters Wilma Huber, Pauline Rocke and Emma Lou Steffen, and many special nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two sisters.
Bob Huber served his country in the United States Navy from 1951 to 1954, which contributed to a lifelong passion for the ocean and sailing. He was a building contractor for more than 40 years. Bob gave his life to the Lord in 1955 and was an active member of the Apostolic Christian Church in Plantation, FL, where his presence will be deeply missed. He raised his children to love and honor the Lord and this legacy stretches on to several generations. His children and grandchildren will remember him for his sense of humor, love of learning, loyalty and gentleness.
