Robert Carl Jacob

A viewing will be held at 10am on Friday October 30th at Fred Hunter Funeral Home. Burial will follow the viewing at Hollywood Memorial Gardens at 11am. Kevin McGee will be officiating the cryptside service. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Fred Hunter Funeral Home.

Robert Carl Jacob Jr.  was born in Berwyn, Illinois on February 9th, 1947. He graduated from Naperville Community High School and continued on to receive a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from NorthTexas State University, now known as The University of North Texas where both sons later graduated from.

Robert Carl Jacob Jr. worked as a Foreign Trade Zone Manager for the City of El Paso, which he helped turn it into one of the best foreign zones in the country. He also had his own real-estate company while in El Paso, TX. He continued on in his career as Operator for the Foreign Trade Zone #25 in Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, FL and worked there for last 22 years. He became in expert in his field and often spoke at National Association Of Foreign-Trade Zones conventions. He enjoyed bowling and speculating in the stock market. He was a member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church.

Robert Carl Jacob Jr. is survived by his two children Mark Allen Jacob and Carl Richard Jacob, his brother Brian Jacob and his wife Mary Sabine, his nephews Ben Jacob, Damon Jacob, Nick Jacob and Alex Jacob.

Robert Carl Jacob Jr. is preceded in death by Robert Carl Jacob and Marie Helen Jacob.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to the ALS Center of Miami, donations can be given at miami-als.org/support-us/ or the general ALS Association als.org/. The family of Robert Carl Jacob Jr. wishes to thank the ALS Center of Miami who was very helpful with the care for our father in a time when not many knew how to help.
