

He is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years Carol, daughters Lori Abee and husband Jerry of Havelock, North Carolina, Dawn Diehl and husband George of Dania Beach, Florida. Five grandchildren, Lauren Webb (Peyton Terry), Shelby Rainwater (Tanner), Austen Read (Alina), Ryan Read (Shastine), Chase Read, great granddaughter Harper Terry and his feisty kitten Twinkle. He also has two nieces Jennifer Pinkston and Jessica Aldridge. He is preceded in death by his parents Elmer Leininger, Pauline (Swanger) Leininger and brother Michael Leininger.
Ronald was born on February 5, 1938 in Marion Township, Pennsylvania. He moved to Hollywood, Florida in the early 50’s. In 1955 he graduated from South Broward High School while employed with Walter Gray Photographer’s, where he developed the love of photography, even setting up a darkroom at home years later.
He then entered the US ARMY and served our country and was Honorably discharged after 3 years of service. In 1958 he began a long and successful career in the insurance and financial services profession until retirement. Along the way he earned his CLU, ChFC and LUTCF designations. He was also very involved in the Rotary Club and Gyro International for many years.
He loved flying, even took lessons and enjoyed traveling all over the country in the flight simulator on his computer. He loved fishing and especially hiking Mt Whitney in Ca., also enjoyed his music, especially some good jazz, was an avid reader, even doing some creative writing, publishing his first book “Softer Side of Deceit”, and was almost finished with his second book at the time of his death. He loved sailing and motoring on his sailboat, the “Sorceress”, that was his pride and joy for many years. Even taking it all the way to North Carolina and also Georgia.
He passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving heartbroken family.

Ron enjoyed boating, jazz, writing (published several books), his Porsche and road trips.
