Sabita Patel

The family of Sabita Patel is deeply saddened to announce her passing in Fort Lauderdale, USA, on 4/21/2024 after a protracted period of illness which she fought bravely and with grace at the age of 71 years.

Sabita was the loving wife to Dr. Mahesh Patel, dedicated mother to Dr. Sunil Patel (Jaymani) New Jersey, Kamlesh Patel (Mayuri) Fort Lauderdale and Kalpa Patel (Uday) Chicago, doting grandmother to Aarav, Vansh, Yash, Aadi, Veer, Shreya, sister to Suresh (Wendy), Ramesh (Asha), Hansa (Arun), Pamela (Donald) and Damyanti (Venki) and aunt to Vishal, Nikhil, Deven, Kiran, Ravi, Nathan, Gina, Karan, Tejal, Amy, Ethan, Ajay and Rishi. 

Sabita was predeceased by her father Naranji, mother Parvati and sister Savitri (aka Hansa).

For most of her adult life in Trinidad, Sabita committed her time and energy to being a dedicated and proud homemaker and an active member of the Devi Mandir Vyas Hindu temple in Chaguanas.

Sabita would have also wanted to express her sincere appreciation to her caregiver Lanose and the loving support of her extended family of aunts and uncles throughout the world, many of whom called and visited her regularly.

Pundit Mukeshbhai Vyas will perform the final Hindu rites at Sabita's funeral to be held at Fred Hunter's Funeral Home, 6301 Taft Street, Hollywood, FL. 33024, on Thursday 4/25/2024 at 11am, where her earthly remains will be cremated.
