
Stanford George Robinson was born on November 18th, 1917, to Felix and Catherine Robinson in Claremont St. Ann, Jamaica. He was the eldest of nine children. He is predeceased by his parents, a brother and a sister.
Stanford followed in his fathers footsteps by joining The Jamaica Constabulary Force, where he served for many years. Stanford was stationed in many parts of the country. On his tour to Glengoff, St. Catherine, he met Valda Scott, whom he married on December 26, 1941, and together they have nine children plus one adopted: Dimples, Sten, Levin, Tintin, Curline, Dawn, Ricky, Valerie, San and Wain.
After many years, Stanford left the force; he then joined the Telephone Company and later the Ministry of Housing. He served 3 years in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, as a police Officer; at the end of his tour he went back to Jamaica .He then owned and operated a successful Landlord/Bailiff business until he migrated to New York in 1980 with his wife. He later settled in Miami, Florida.
Stanford worked at Mount Sinai Hospital, then at TurnBerry Isles Country Club, utilizing his law enforcement background.
He loved his family and friends, always up for a party and/or domino games.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, all his children, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren plus one yet to be born, brothers and sisters, lots of nieces and nephews and loads of friends and well wishers.
While we are surely going to miss him, we now bid him farewell. He will be forever in our hearts.
