Beloved husband of 64 years to his sweetheart and best-friend, Geraldine "Geri" (Spaide) Moore. Loving father of Stanley (Teresa) Moore, Jr; Richard Moore, Daniel Moore, David (Jeannie) Moore. Also survived by 7 adored grandchildren and one great grandson and his brother, William (Mary-Margaret) Moore. He was preceded by his brother, Dr. Daniel Moore.
Pastor Stan adored his family and his congregation and was deeply devoted to both. He started his career path as an educator and coach - which he recognized as "on the job training" for his true calling - pastoring. He loved his church and was dedicated to serving and helping people both locally and throughout the world through missions. He had a special passion for helping orphans in Haiti.
He also served his country honorably in World War 2 and was hand selected to serve in the Alsos Mission (an offshoot of the Manhattan Project) under the leadership of Colonel Boris T. Bash, who he considered his mentor. The operation involved a dedicated group of specialist, ranging from soldiers to scientists. It was an extremely dangerous mission and ultimately considered vital to American survival. Pastor Moore was humbled to be selected and proud to serve his country.
