Sushila grew up in a time when few women were educated. She fought hard and graduated from Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda with a B.A. in Political Science and Economics. She was a beloved little sister to three brothers and very much a Daddy's little girl. She was always confident and had a close friends circle.
Sushila was married to Natvarlal Sharma on May 15, 1966, they were married for almost 52 years.
Sushila was a first generation Indian American. She came to America when few Indians were here. She had to learn about America quickly. She used her innate skills to adapt the limited resources she had into plentiful and flavorful offerings. She never gave up her beliefs and maintained her vegetarianism and religion. She chose to stay at home to care for her children, believing she needed to pass on her traditions. She was always selflessly loving and giving, her family always her first priority.
Sushila was vibrant, always excited to learn new things and very modern. She had a smile that would light up the room. She was always smiling and welcoming. She made all strangers her family. She had true inner peace and knowledge. Her self realized state was the anchor that grounded her throughout her life.
Sushila is survived by her husband Natvarlal, her daughter Hina, her son Paras, son-in-law Dev, daughter-in-law Wendy, grandchildren Armaan, Lukesh, Arpan, Blake and Haley, her brothers, Jitubhai, Bhanubhai and Rajnikantbhai, brothers- in-law Bipinbhai, Govindbhai and sisters-in-law Niruben, Ushaben, Sudhaben and Chandrikaben, as well as nieces Mina, Jyoti, Dhruti, Dipa, Bansari, Hetal and nephews Vinay, Atul, Hamang, Rakesh, Ashish and Harin.
The family of Sushila Sharma wishes to thank all our family and friends, from the bottom of our hearts.
