Theresa Jean-d'Arc Lavigne

1926-2016

Theresa Lavigne passed away from this life into the presence of Jesus, her Savior, on April 8, 2016 in Davie, Florida. She was 89. "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints." Psalm 116:15. We that remain are saddened that she has left us. However, we rejoice that she is in her new home where she is "absent from the body and present with the Lord." 2 Cor 5:8.

Theresa was born in Trois-Rivieres, Quebec, Canada on July 27, 1926 and later moved to Montreal where she met and married her soul mate, Andre Lavigne. They later moved to Plattsburgh, N.Y. where they raised a three boys, Michael, Serge and Denis. After retirement, they move to south Florida. Theresa was a loving and dedicated wife and mother who served as the "glue" to the family. Those that knew her well will miss her joyful personality, giving heart and zest for life. She had a unceasing love for beautiful south Florida and her screened-in porch at Paradise Village. We all will miss you, mom!

Theresa is survived by her three sons, Michael (Brenda) Lavigne, their children Michelyn Lavigne, Hollywood, Florida and Jackie (Donnie) Coon, Sebastian, Florida and great grand sons Roger, Mirko and Bobby; Serge (Nancy) Lavigne, Acworth, GA, their children Nikki (Bob) Bemister, Dallas, GA; Renee (Ben) McClelland, Woodstock, GA, and Roxanne Lavigne, Acworth, GA, and great grand children Sierra, Tanner, Heather, Lindsay and Brodie; Denis (Kim) Lavigne, Ogden, UT, their children Danielle (Jordan) Green of Layton, UT; Caitlin (Carter) Smith of Ogden, UT and Aaron of Ogden, UT, and great-grandsons Maddex and Hezekiah.

She was preceded in death by her husband Andre Lavigne in 1997.

A private family memorial will be held at a later date.
