Thomas Coon

Thomas (Jack) Coon, 74, of Cudjoe Key and Hollywood, Florida, peacefully passed away after a brief illness, on Wednesday, February 13, 2013, at his Hollywood residence. Jack was born in Barberton Ohio, September 12, 1938 to Thomas W. Coon and Irene Hall Coon (both deceased). He is survived by his wife, Donna, of almost 40 years, his son Zachary Coon Justice and daughter, Yvonne Paige Coon. Also, his sister, Judith Ferrero and brother-in-law, Louis P. Ferrero, brother-in-law, Edward J. Segno and sister-in-law, Shelley Segno, nephews, Justin Ferrero and Daniel Segno, nieces, Juliette (Trey) Jarrard and Jamie Segno. Jack is also survived by great nieces, Rae, Alexandra, Reece Jarrard and Banks Ferrero, as well as, a great nephew, Finn Ferrero. Family previously deceased: son, Thomas Fred Coon, daughter, Reva Dawn Coon and in-laws, James and Philomena Segno.

Jack served in the United States Navy as a radar specialist. Then, in the mid 70's, after becoming a Mechanical Contractor, he and his friend Robert Placa, Sr., started Airreo Air Conditioning and Refrigeration.

In 2000, Jack retired to Cudjoe Key where he enjoyed boating, fishing, cycling and spending time with friends. He will be remembered as a kind, hard working man, with beautiful blue eyes.

Services will be held at Fred Hunter's, 6301 Taft St., Hollywood, FL. 33024, on Saturday, February 23rd, from Noon to 2 PM. In lieu of flowers please donate to the charity of your choice.
