

Thomas Earl Tremellen II, 85, of Weston, Florida passed away on January 24, 2021. Born October 10, 1935, in Elmira,New York, he was the son of Thomas Earl Tremellen and Catherine Vincenta Gordon Tremellen. Tom moved to Lancaster, Pennsylvania as a small child and it is there that he met his future wife, Patsy. He was a natural athlete,lettering in football, baseball, and track at Manheim Township High School. Tom served in the Army in Korea and Okinawa. While in Korea, Tom had a groom doll with an engagement ring delivered to Patsy, his high school sweetheart, showing what a romantic he was. Upon his return, they were married on December 29, 1956. Tom earned his degree at Millersville State College under the GI Bill and spent many years working as a director of trade associations in Pennsylvania and Florida. He enjoyed crosswords; doing the NY Times in ink.He also loved playing tennis, golfing, reading, and watching movies. Tom was unwavering in his dedication to his family,blessing them with lifelong messages of love and laughter.He amazed his grandchildren with his loud whistle and Donald Duck imitation. We will all miss hearing him say, “fine thing”. It has been said that Tom never met a stranger, he talked to everyone with genuine interest.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Patsy Himes Tremellen, the love of his life; his children Tamara (John) Adams, Michael Tremellen, Sandra(Daniel) Iamartino, Matthew (Shelly) Tremellen; his 10 grandchildren, Wesley, Joel (Stacie), Trace, Dustin, Joshua,Sean, Meagan, Alexia, Dallas, Arya; his 2 great-grandchildren Audrey, Asher; his siblings, Jon Tremellen, Cathy Kornfield;his many nieces and nephews; and the rest of his family. He was preceded in death by his sons, Timothy Tremellen, Brian Tremellen, and his sister Jane Krohn. A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church in Weston on Saturday, February 6, 2021, at 11:00 am. It will also be livestreamed for those unable to attend.The family of Thomas Tremellen would like to thank the paramedics of Weston and the Cleveland Clinic Emergency Room staff for their compassion and kindness.
