Born in New York City on March 1, 1940, following high school graduation, Walter enlisted in the United States Coast Guard. He was a resident of Miami since 1972, where he worked at several restaurants as a Chef, including, Alberto's 51, The Four Ambassadors, Carino's and La Paloma. He also owned and operated a popular diner in Miami for many years, the Waterview Diner.
Survived by his devoted son, Joseph X. Flynn of Fort Lauderdale. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Kathleen (Rose) Flynn in 1995.
Visitation on Friday, October 4th from 6:00 ~ 8:00 P.M. at Fred Hunters Hollywood Memorial Funeral Home, 6301 Taft Street in Hollywood with a Memorial Service and celebration of his life beginning at 7:00 P.M. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
