We use the term friend in referring to those we know in reality most have only a few that are true friends but i believe that wayne was one that truly had many friends as he was a true friend to those who knew him. he wasw alwaysw there for you and with you. i have lost a true friend in Wayne whom i have known for about 20 years in the mens group and many things we did together including church sharing meals and the last memory was attending a marlins baseball game all are lasting memories and they and he will always be treasured to me . i love you brother and i will see you again at the side of God, our one true friend who will never leave us or forsake us, in his hole and precious name..

I had the great pleasure of knowing Wayne for more than 15 years as a regular at our Saturday men's Bible study group. I always enjoyed Wayne's wry smile and sardonic sense of humor, along with his knowledge of remote historical and sports trivia. Wayne was a very kind and considerate friend whom all of us from our "band of brothers" already greatly miss, but look forward to seeing again in heaven.

When our families were joined together in 1979, Wayne and his brothers became the brothers Susie and I never had. We certainly appreciate Wayne's thoughtfulness and terrific sense of humor.

Shortly after our meeting at Walmart, Wayne invited me to the men's prayer group. In our discussions, he was exceedingly knowledgeable in history and literature. It was a privilege to have known him and call him friend.

Wayne did a good job keeping in touch with family members, remembering birthdays, sending humorous chain emails, and was thoughtful about sending meaningful gifts. He was always in the middle of reading several books at a time, and he was not shy in letting his political views be known. I enjoyed eating Christmas dinner with Wayne when our family was in South Florida over the years, and I appreciated that he took us to Mangoes restaurant on the Ft Lauderdale beach several times when were were in town, as well as a Marlins game a few years ago. Wayne enjoyed the warm weather of South Florida and often chided me in the winter when I told him how cold it was in the DC area. I liked his sense of humor and his chuckle. I'm glad to have called him a friend. Uncle Wayne, I'll miss you, but I look forward to seeing you again!

Wayne was a good buddy with whom I went to both baseball and hockey games in addition to being a faithful supporter of our mission work. We'll miss him, but we'll see him in glory where he is now as he shared our faith in the Savior.

Dear Larry, you and Wayne were one of my best memories of Rodman Street after we moved there in 6th grade. And then all those years we spent on the tennis courts together at David Park and South Broward High School Tennis Team. I still have all those pictures of the team with you guys.Though we lost touch I remember you both fondly. I am sorry for your loss and will remember Wayne in our prayers.

Dear Larry & Alan,I was very sorry to hear of Wayne's death and will keep you and all of the family in my thoughts and prayers.Although it has been many years since I have seen any of you, I have many fond memories of our childhood days on Rodman Street, the playground at Colbert Elementary and Saturday morning cartoons at 2620 Rodman when Wayne would act as a "Roving Reporter" to let the neighborhood know what the Moore Girls were up to.Don't really remember whether or not there was any actual boyfriend / girlfriend relationships that took place, but I know that at some point there were crushes between Marsha and Alan, Wayne and Marilyn and Larry and me. Poor Daryl probably felt left out and not happy that your parents never had a 4th son that was her age!Marilyn has a much better memory than I do, so I'm sure she will have other memories to add.My sincere sympathy and condolences for your loss.Debbie (Moore) Webb

I am so very sorry to hear of your recent loss .I hope it brings hope to know that one of the clearest teachings of God's Word is that our dead loved ones will return to life. The Bible teaching that death was not part of Jehovah's original purpose can actually help us live our lives without a morbid fear of death.
