

He was born July 10, 1936 to the late William J. and Lenor Marti in Miami, Florida. As a young adult he proudly served in the US Army. While serving he married his wife Moynette, on August 8, 1959 and enjoyed 61 lovely years together. Bill and Moynette had two daughters, Lanette and Lenor.
He leaves behind Moynette, his wife, Lanette Stout and her husband Donald, Lenor Ryan and his brother, Donald L. Marti and his wife Bernice. Plus, his three grandchildren Amber Stout, 23, William Ryan, 21, Calissa Ryan, 15 and two nieces.
Bill followed his father’s footsteps in becoming a Million Dollar Sales Agent for State Farm Insurance. For 43 years he worked continuously until he retired in 2009. State Farm Insurance was the family business and even Bill’s younger brother became an agent as well.
As a member of Roe Fulkerson Lodge No. 299, Bill was a Past Master, District Deputy Grand Master, and served as the secretary for many years. He was instrumental in raising funds and creating a brick memorial sidewalk which leads into the lodge building. This sidewalk will be utilized by his fellow brethren for decades. He was full of pride to be a member of Miami Scottish Rite and earned the 33rd degree.
Bill served Florida DeMolay as its Executive Officer from 1994 until 2003 and was an Emeritus Member of the International Supreme Council of DeMolay.
Hollywood Chapter No. 150 was delighted to have Bill as a Past Patron serving with his wife as Worthy Matron in 1994, Order of the Eastern Star. He also served as Worthy Patron with his daughter, Lanette Stout as Worthy Matron in 2002 and 2005. Later he continued to serve Hollywood Chapter as Worthy Patron two more times. The Grand Chapter of Florida called upon Bill to serve on the Credentials Committee and he was Grand Representative of Rhode Island in Florida.
The viewing will be Tuesday, 9/29/2020 for family and friends at 5 pm and the Masonic Service at 7 pm at Fred Hunters Funeral Home, 6301Taft Street in Hollywood.
A Final Salute with Military Honors will take place on Wednesday, 9/30/2020, at 11 am at Caballero Rivero Southern Cemetery, 15000 West Dixie Highway, North Miami, FL 33181.
The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations to be made in Bill's memory to either of these fine scholarship funds.
