

Ronnie Lee Nunnery, 60, of New Bloomfield, passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2014, at St. Louis University Hospital. Ronnie was born December 10, 1953, in Granite City, Illinois, to Leonard and Helen Giles Nunnery and they preceded him in death. He was married to Barb Purcell on March 9, 1996, in Columbia, and she survives. He had previously been married to Anita Flaugher. Ronnie was a 1971 graduate of St. Elizabeth High School near Tuscumbia. He began working for Westinghouse in Jefferson City and also worked for Amtrak, the Missouri Department of Corrections in Fulton and was the Union Representative for AFSCME Council 72. He had previously been involved with Masonic Lodges in the Mid-Missouri area and he enjoyed fishing, traveling, collecting trains and all kinds of sports. He is also survived by children, Kary (Robert) Chiles of Jefferson City, Steve Nunnery of Dixon, and James Taylor Thatcher II of Clinton; grandchildren, Jared, Kelley, Katlyn and Halle Chiles; great-grandchild, baby girl Chiles who will be born in February 2015; brother, Wayne (Betty) Nunnery; nephew David (Barbie) Nunnery; along with several cousins and other loving family members. Services will be at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, November 17, 2014, at Debo Funeral Home in Holts Summit, Missouri. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
