Alice Pearl Cooper Bryant, age 92, passed away January 19, 2014. A native of Mobile, she moved to Birmingham in April 2000. A daughter of Birdie Louella Harriet Paige and Marvin Young Cooper, she was preceded in death by her seven siblings, her husband Ozzie Bryant, and her grandson Bryan James Middlebrooks. She graduated from Talladega High School and worked in the shipping business for many years.
She is survived by her daughter Elizabeth (Betsy) and husband David James Middlebrooks, her grandsons Allen David Middlebrooks and Ethan Wilson Middlebrooks (New York, NY), and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life will be on Monday, January 27, at 2:00 p.m. at Kirkwood by the River. In lieu of flowers, please send memorials to Bryan J. Middlebrooks STAIR (Start the Adventure in Reading) Library, Independent Presbyterian Church, 3100 Highland Avenue, Birmingham, AL 35205.
