Alice Christian

Mary Alice Fowler Christian, age 99, of Birmingham, Alabama passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2025. Alice was born in Lamar County, Alabama on January 11, 1926 to the late Eva Angeline Mordecai Fowler and Johnny Moses Fowler. She married Jack Christian in 1944.

Alice retired from Chevron Oil Company after 41 years of service. She also enjoyed being a model for various stores in the Birmingham area and was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church. Alice was kind hearted, quick witted, she loved flowers, football and talking to people.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jack Christian and her siblings: Idell Fowler Branyon, Adell Fowler Murphy, Nettie Fowler Sprouse, Marion Fowler, Rubie Zell Fowler, MC Fowler, Lola Fowler Hassell, Clarice Fowler Nethery and Norman "Doc" Fowler. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews and other family members who loved her dearly.

A visitation for Alice will be held at Ridout's Valley Chapel, 1800 Oxmoor Road, Homewood, AL 35209, Wednesday, March 5, 2025 beginning at 10:00 AM with the funeral service following at 11:00 AM. The graveside service will follow at 2:00 PM at Alabama National Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest with Jack.
