

Alice Jo Turner Olive was born March 10, 1934 in Birmingham, AL , and passed from this life into her heavenly home April 28, 2021. She graduated from Woodlawn High School and majored in music at Howard College (Sanford University), where she also met the love of her life, Hilton Olive. Alice Jo and Hilton moved to Louisville where Hilton attended the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. After graduation, they lived and pastored churches in Daytona Beach, High Springs, Jacksonville, St. Petersburg, and DeFuniak Springs. Later in life, they served churches in Romania, Austria, Tanzania, Germany, and Spain. Alice Jo was greatly loved by those who knew her, and she was known as a devoted Christian, a faithful member of Ds and a gracious, supportive pastor's wife through many years of service. Alice Jo excelled as an organist and a cellist, having begun studying cello at a early age and through the years played in various quartets and orchestras wherever they lived. She was also an accomplished pianist, teaching piano for many years. Later in life, she became a painter and completed many beautiful paintings that are treasures to family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. James Hilton Olive, and her brother, Clifford Turner. She is survived by her two daughters, Lois Dye (Jim), and Sharon Moseley (Allan); and seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive visitors at John's- Ridouts Funeral Parlor (University Blvd), on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 1:00 PM, with a celebration of life to follow at 2:00 P.M.
