

Ann Marshall Hogan de Lathouder, age 97, died Friday, November 30, 2012, in her Birmingham, Alabama home that she shared with her beloved dog, Baby. She was born in Birmingham on Valentine’s Day, 1915, to Dr. George Archibald Hogan and Myra Clark Gaines Hogan. She graduated from Birmingham-Southern College where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi Fraternity for Women. She went on to attend Massey Business College and had a career as a government office professional until she married. Her husband, Frank Durham de Lathouder, and her two brothers, George Archibald Hogan, Jr. and James Thomas Hogan, preceded her in death.
Mrs. de Lathouder is survived by her son Frank Durham de Lathouder, Jr. of Ankeny, Iowa, plus six grandchildren: Johnny Trevor de Lathouder (Amie) of Keller, Texas, Yancy William de Lathouder of Des Moines, Iowa, Adrienne de Lathouder Littlefield (John) of Memphis, Tennessee, Frank James de Lathouder (Jeanne) of Birmingham, Alabama, Ann Marie de Lathouder Freeman (Adrian) of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Camille Nichole Barnes “Kammie” de Lathouder of Ankeny, Iowa. She has four great-grandchildren: Alexi Ellen de Lathouder, Maddux Miles de Lathouder, Chloe Madison Littlefield, and Jasper James Freeman.
The family appreciates support provided by professional caregivers: Gloria Murray, Nina Felton, Angela Holder, Pamela French, and Jeanette McDonald.
Visitation will be held at Ridout's Valley Chapel at 2:00 PM, Friday, December 21, 2012, followed by a memorial.
