

Barbara "Bobbie" Carolyn Sisk was a lifelong Alabama native, born in Birmingham. She attended Minnie Holman Elementary and Woodlawn High School, Birmingham. Barbara earned her Bachelors Degree from University of Alabama (Tuscaloosa) and Masters Degree from UAB.
Barbara worked for a few years as a high school guidance counselor and later in sales. She attended South Avondale Baptist Church for 30 years and later became a member at Shades Crest Baptist.
Barbara is survived by loving cousins and dear long-time friends, in Atlanta Glynn Shackleford Gamble, in Alabama David Paisley, Rose Ann Jones, Dixie Franks Liles, Florence Salmer, Summer Simpson, Mike Simpson, in Mississippi Gene & Jeanette Sullivan, in Florida Sage Weishaupt, Shannon Shumway and others. Barbara was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Brown Sisk Koski, father, Robert Carlton Sisk Sr. (Bob) and her brother, Robert C. Sisk Jr., along with aunts, uncles, grandparents and others.
Special thanks to staff and healthcare professionals at Elite Senior Living Center (previously Mount Royal Towers) for their faithful care of Barbara during the last 10 years of her life.
Family and friends will gather Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at 11:00am for a brief time of reflection and to share stories and remembrances about Barbara. Ridout's Valley Chapel - Homewood, 1800 Oxmoor Road, Birmingham, AL 35209
