Bobby Gerald Aycock of Birmingham, Alabama passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Wednesday, January 8, 2025. He was born on May 12, 1948 in Decatur, Alabama to John and Geraldine Aycock. Bobby was a proud graduate of Auburn University and then moved on to serve in the National Guard. Soon after, Bobby moved to Birmingham, his forever home, where he began to build his incredible life and business.
Bobby lived an extremely full and vibrant life and touched many others’ lives along the way. His main passion was his business and his pride and joys were his family and wonderful friends. His daughter was his world. He treasured his cars, music, competition, sports, animals, Seagrove Beach and travels but most of all, having a “large” time. Bobby was a connector of people. He brought people together. It was his greatest gift.
For 50 years, Bobby built and cared for his business at Morgan Stanley, where he loved the opportunity to serve and connect with his clients. His greatest strength was looking out for others, so it’s no surprise that many of his clients also became his best friends.
Bobby is survived by his wife of 43 years, Laura Aycock, daughter, L. Curry Jungerhans (Marius Jungerhans), two grandchildren Lars and Doutzen Jungerhans and his beloved dogs, Charles Beauregard and George Oliver Aycock.
A private family service was held at St. Mary’s on January 12th. In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to an organization Bobby was passionate about, The Honor Foundation at www.honor.org
Services were under the direction of Ridout's Valley Chapel (205.879.3401) in Homewood.
